Oliver Hoyte
Oliver Hoyte (born September 8, 1984) is a former American football linebacker. He was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2006. After earning a roster spot as a reserve linebacker and a solid special teams prospect, Hoyte took advantage of a mid-season position switch to fullback and performed with a high level of productivity. After a rookie year of learning under fire, Hoyte racked up 19 starts at fullback and saw plenty of action with the Dallas regular offense during 2006 and 2007 campaign. He eventually grew into a key role player on an offensive unit that enjoyed one of the most productive seasons in club history. He played college football at North Carolina State.
==Early years==
In High School he played for the Chamberlain Chiefs in Tampa and lost a state title.He then played for North Carolina State University, where he was a three-year starter at linebacker. Even though he came off the field in passing situations, he registered 93 tackles as a junior and 79 tackles as a senior. He was part of a defense that included Manny Lawson and Mario Williams.
